Autumn Writing

The best things to write about are the things we experience.

On Monday we went and played in the Autumn leaves behind the Senior playground.  We looked at the different colours and shapes of the leaves, we walked through them and listened to the noises they made, we felt them when we gathered them up and threw them high in the air, and we even smelled them.  The only sense we didn't use was our sense of taste. We decided that we didn't need to use all five of our senses for this writing experience!

When we got back to class we brainstormed all the interesting words to describe our experience so that we'd be ready to write on Tuesday. On Tuesday Mrs Michell taught us and we wrote some amazing stories using lots of great describing words.  Some of our class went with Mrs Nichol to learn how to blog and they wrote about Autumn as well.  Their blogs are posted below.
