Collaborative Writing

We have had such a fun week being extra creative with our Art Week focus. This week we have tried to infuse something artsy into just about every area of our learning.  As our reading activity this week, we worked in partners or small groups to create a scene for a story.  We designed and coloured a background and then used magazines to find pictures for our scene.   During writing we worked together to write our stories.  The room was a buzz of collaborative thinking and writing.  It was so fun to see the students working together to create a story about their scene.  They just wanted to keep writing and writing!  Everyone took turns writing and sharing ideas to come up with a great story about their scene.
