I'm a big fan of Christmas and making it fun for children. Today we started two Christmas traditions in my class. We have 24 of my personal Christmas books wrapped and waiting in our beautiful Niuean basket from Mrs Ikiua. Each day a different child in the class chooses a book to unwrap and then I read it to the class. Albie was the lucky one who got to go first.
Another tradition is the countdown to Christmas Santa beard. The children coloured and then cut out Santa. Each day they will add a cotton ball to the numbered circle as we count down to Christmas.
