Mangemangeroa writing

After our great walk to Mangemangeroa we sure had a lot to say in our writing!  First we wrote a story as a class using words that described where we went on our walk.

Then we wrote our own stories in our writing books.  After we wrote them we published our stories onto publishing paper.  Then we prepared our art work to mount our published writing on.  Mrs Nichol directed us through drawing ourselves climbing over a stile like we did on our walk.  Then we coloured them with wax crayons and painted over top with dye.

When our pictures were dry we pasted our published writing onto our pictures.  Our work is now hanging in our classroom window. Make sure you stop by to read our stories!

Some of the children in our class shared their stories in our team assembly on Friday afternoon.
