Today was our Reading Open Morning. Parents, grandparents and friends were welcomed into the Year One classrooms to observe and participate in our reading sessions.
In our class, we welcomed our guests with a special song.
Then we read our shared big book. Today we looked at punctuation, and in particular, speech marks and speech bubbles.
When it was time for our guided reading sessions, the children were able to show their parents some of the activities that we do during reading.
We had such lovely weather today, that the Oranges group were able to go outside to read and do their activity.
Following our Reading open morning, our guests shared lunch with us outside. We had a fantastic morning. Thank you to everyone who came!
