Week 3 (19-25 May) is National Primary Science Week. To celebrate this event, Cockle Bay School is running a Science Week Challenge called "Science Selfies".
To be part of this Science initiative, the children need to make a balloon rocket car at home and ask their parents to email a photo or short video of it to Mrs Bear at room3@cocklebay.school.nz or Mrs Nichol at cheryln@cocklebay.school.nz by Friday, 25 May. The children should bring their balloon rocket cars to school as there will be opportunities for them to share it with their class, their buddy class and the wider school community.
To assist the children, the Science Team has researched a video and instructions from the Home Science website (links below) or the children may wish to research their own design online or in books from the public library.
